Winters in Pittsburgh can be unpredictable! Especially this year, we’ve had 60 degrees days followed by below zero wind chills the next day. It’s not exactly designed for photographing the latest blogger fashions! That’s why I want to let you in on a little secret…. why you should always take your dog on a fashion shoot! For body warmth!
The day I took these photos with Lauren Wellesley & King it was so cold. The weekend before we had Spring like weather so I booked a fashion shoot to get some new photos for a post. Of course, the weather turned and it was freezing the morning I was scheduled to meet her.
I always love the cuteness Lucy brings to every photoshoot. I love taking her everywhere with me, and I love for my blog photos to reflect that. But on this morning, she provided a lot more than just cuteness! I was wrapping my arms around her and tucking my feet under her bum every chance I got!
Despite the extreme temperatures, I think this turned out great! I loved posing around such classic architecture and think that the outfit I selected went perfectly with the stone stairs and columns. I think the midi-skirt, turtleneck and flat shoe combo is very Audrey Hepburn, don’t you? These are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I got them in Alexandria, Virginia where nearly every boutique is dog friendly!
In reality I think this is a great outfit to take Lucy on a little stroll around one of our many little shopping districts in Pittsburgh. The shoes are flat enough that I can control her while we browse the shops or stop for a coffee. I really love how this skirt moves when you walk, so it especially well suited to a fashionable dog walk!
Sweater, very old, similar. Skirt, H&M. Shoes, Loeffler Randall. Earrings, my birthday present from my mom! Lucy’s leash, Pike Leather.
All photos by Wellesley & King.
