One of the best things I did this year was paint my front door pink! I can hardly remember what life was like BP (before pink), but I’m not sure it’s really worth remembering. There’s a reason why everyone wants to look at life through rose colored glasses… it’s so much better that way! I love using my pink door as a backdrop for photos and Instagram stories with Lucy and I noticed a few other dogs were catching on. So today, here’s a pups and pink doors photo round up thanks to my Instagram furiends!
Pups & Pink Doors
This is one of my favorite photos of Lucy from a Palm Springs inspired shoot we did to show off this dog bed. I actually got the inspiration to paint my front door pink during my visit to Palm Springs (and #thatpinkdoor) in February.
Here’s the most stylish pug I know, Ari of @honeyidressedthepug, posing in front of a pink door (and house) in London. He takes it to another level with a fabulous emoji balloon! Photo by @Margarita_Karenko, who has a very fabulous pink IG feed too!
Pictured above is ZuZu, and below is Satchel in front of their rosy front door at home. The dog mom behind these photos is Annie, who is a wonderful stationery designer that works from home and believes in painting her front door! A girl after my own heart! The photos are by Alice G Patterson, who creates custom photography for creative women entrepreneurs and dogs! I love these sweet pups and had to include them both!
I love to see dogs living it up in beautiful homes! Are you looking for dog friendly and stylish decor resources? I just added a shopping guide to my Library! Click below to get exclusive access to my favorite sites and recommendations for a stylish home with your dog.
This is Posie (aka @chocfullofposie)! I’m completely obsessed with her and even tried to make her mom meet up with me and Lucy during our road trip this Spring. Our play date didn’t work out, but hopefully one day I can pet this chocolate chunk in person! When her mom sent over this photo it put the biggest smile on my face, and I hope it does the same for you too!
Here’s another door that similar in hue to mine. I love how the wreath, flowers and accessory all coordinate! This is from Charleston, South Carolina pet photographer @sandrineflintphotography.
I couldn’t do this round up justice without a pup in front of #thatpinkdoor in Palm Springs! Luckily @sf_schnauzer got to visit it while in town!
We’re showing off our pink doors, but this lucky pup found an entire PINK HOUSE! I’m so jealous of @siatheboerboel who got to visit this immersive art installation in Los Angeles by @themostfamousartist.
Did I miss anyone?
Tag me @tmistick in your Instagram photos if you have a great shot of your pup in front of a pink door. If I get enough there might have to be a follow up post!
While I was doing some research for this post I also found a restaurant in Seattle called The Pink Door which is apparently a famous, and delicious, Italian restaurant owned by a serious dog lover! You have to click over to their Story page where each staff member is show in a beautiful black and white portrait with their dogs. Add that to the list of places I want to go!
