I’m so excited to celebrate Take Your Dog to Work Day, today, June 23rd! It’s been proven that dogs contribute so much positivity to a workplace, so I hope that a lot of people get to experience the benefits today. I’m very lucky that I get to work side by side with Lucy pretty much every day. I’ve been working from home for the past eight years, but in the last year since my blog has really been taking off, Lucy and I literally get to work together all the time!

I really appreciate everyone who is reading this right now, and all the fabulous brand partners I’ve worked with in the last year. You all make it possible for me to call Lucy my co-worker (and co-star, really!). Working with your dog can be difficult at times (ADD anyone?!), but the rewards far outweigh any negatives.

Having a dog at work will make you happier and increase creativity!

Lucy requires me to take several walk breaks throughout the day. Not only do these walks get me moving to burn a few calories, but they give my eyes a break from the computer and phone screen, and they allow my brain a chance to day dream. I think I come up with my most creative ideas on our walks.

Just looking at Lucy makes me smile, so having her in my office all the time can make even the most stressful days more enjoyable. Not to mention the cuddle time that we squeeze in each afternoon.

I’ve blogged about being a working dog mom before. Check out some of the posts:
