If you’re a pet lover or a pet professional, there’s a dog podcast out there for you! The shows I’ve listed in this post include the most popular dog podcasts and new shows you haven’t heard yet. Open your podcast app, lace up your shoes, grab a leash and hit the pavement. These are the best podcasts to listen to while you walk your dog!

A great podcast can make a long car ride go faster or give you something to look forward to if you’re dreading walking the dog in cold or rainy weather. A muddy Spring and lots of long dog walks lead me to my first podcast obsession with the show Serial. That show got a lot of people into podcasts for the first time! In fact, its the fastest podcast to ever hit 5 million downloads!

As much as I love true crime podcasts, sometimes I need a break from that genre. What could be better to elevate the mood than a podcast about dogs!

The Best Dog Podcasts to Listen To On A Dog Walk

If you can imagine a topic about dogs, I promise there’s a podcast about that specific subject! There are shows with vets, dog comedians, trainers, holistic health experts, dog sitting business gurus, and regular pet parents sharing stories about their rescues and purebred dogs alike! There’s even a show that asks the question we’re all thinking… “Can I pet your dog?”

Before I started my own pet industry podcast, I listened to so many great shows that kept me company on dog walks and car rides. Podcasts are the only type of media you can consume while you’re doing something else. This means you can listen to a podcast while you’re working out, cleaning, driving, or walking. It makes it so easy to binge-listen to a new show!
