There’s nothing quite like the special bond we share with our pets. The love they show us just doesn’t exist in any other relationship. As a dog mom blogger, I spend a lot of time thinking about that and I’m lucky to have many photos and mementos to remember how much my dog means to me. I first discovered Paws Promise & Co. through Instagram and it was clear to me through commenting back and forth and the photos she posted, that the designer Kate Holmes is a dog lover just like me. What struck me, is that on Instagram Kate frequently posted photos of dogs with their owners rather than focusing only on her necklaces… which are beautiful by the way! Kate has always been inspired by nature and animals.  As a kid she spent most of her free time outside, roaming fields, woods, and streams. After college, she went on to a career as an artist, creating large whimsical paintings of foxes, horses, chickens, goats, and so on which were privately collected and made in to prints.  Later, she and her family moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and adopted a street mutt who became their anchor and guardian angel.  Four years later another pup found his way into their hearts and home, and these two dogs, Ellie and Francis, became the inspiration behind Paws Promise & Co.

The pendant style necklaces are hand stamped and cast in the highest grade of sterling silver. They have a great weight to them and you can feel how high quality these are just by picking them up. I really love where the necklace hits and that it’s perfect to wear with any neckline. Kate’s goal was to take dog-themed jewelry to the next level by creating something timeless and classic that you can wear every day.

Dog Is My Copilot

Lucy really is my copilot in life. We do as many things together as we can – going on walks, running errands, road tripping and crashing the occasional party! In this photo you can see how much fun we have together. I was so happy when this photo turned out because it reminds me so much of the Paws Promise & Co. Instagram account and the images that helped me fall for this brand in the beginning!
