I started this year with a newfound excitement for my blog and the goal of creating more video content. Thanks to the inspiration at Alt Summit, I’ve started Periscoping our Daily Dog Walks Monday – Friday at 4pm and as of this week I have a brand new YouTube Channel where I just published my first YouTube Video! I’m so excited to have finally launched my channel, though it’s definitely a nerve-wracking experience! I’m still not that savvy on YouTube, but I know I’ll learn as I progress. I am worried that I’ll not get the likes I’m hoping for, but I do know that you can purchase likes to give your channel a boost thanks to Tinkapp. My first video is DIY Healthy Pupcakes and is a doggy cupcake tutorial that will show you how to make delicious birthday treats for your dogs (and I’m not going to lie, I ate two myself!).
These are super easy to make. I recommend letting the dogs lick the spoons when you’re done mixing so you can enjoy crazy eyes like Lucy has below (scroll down). You might also want to invite some doggy friends over since eating all 12 would be A LOT! We shared our’s with Lucy and Lola’s cousin Piper, who inhaled her pupcake with just as much enthusiasm! I seriously did eat two myself, just without the frosting, and they weren’t half bad.

These are great for hosting a puppy party or to take as a gift to someone who has dogs. I used mostly allergy friendly ingredients so most dogs will be able to indulge, but I recommend always asking the owner before handing over goodies like this. One aspect of the pupcakes you’ll want to save for your own dog is licking the spoon! Lola and Lucy looooove that part!
I used a piping bag to give my peanut butter yogurt icing a little extra style. I think little details like that are totally worth it! The dogs might not care what it looks like, but when you put extra love and attention into their treats they definitely notice. Or maybe that’s the duck jerky garnish they noticed… either way, you always get bonus points for making it look good!

My fiance and I are getting a corgi in may and we are in that phase where we talk about all of the things we are going to do with our puppy. We were JUST talking about the pupcake we want to make him for his birthday next V-Day. This may just do the trick 😉
Oh, how exciting! You’re going to have so much fun with your new puppy. Definitely make him some pupcakes for Valentine’s Day, hit Birthday, the 4th of July.. any special occasion really! : )
Super sweet video, I’m going to make this yummy treat for my two chocolate labs
Thank you Cassie! I hope your pups enjoy them!
Loved your video, very cute! Lola & Lucy definitely enjoyed them. Thanks for the PDF I have printed it! x Michelle ~ Barney & Sandy
