Lucy and I were so happy to co-host a fabulous dog mom party in New York City! We partnered with Gal’s Best Friend and Where’s The Frenchie to send out invites to every NYC dog mom we knew. And guess what? A TON of awesome women showed up with their dogs. Check out some highlights from the night below and make sure to scroll all the way to the end to learn about the rescue we supported at the event and see how you can help them.
New York City Dog Mom AF Party
Over 150 dog moms RSVPed to join us at D.B.A. East Village, an awesome dog friendly bar in the city. In the end, a ton of them showed up and many brought their sweet pups. We had dogs of every size! There were Labs (of course), a german shorthaired pointer, doodles, bulldogs, frenchies, chihuahuas, mutts, pitties, border collies yorkies and more!
Dog Mom Party Supplies
The dog moms enjoyed beer and wine (I went for the Brooklyn Brewery Summer Ale… when in Rome!), and the pups got to snack on chicken jerky treats from My Ollie. Since it was warm and pretty packed, we also made sure all the dogs had plenty of water.
Meet Some Of Our Furiends
We got to meet so many furiends at the party! Lucy is posing above with Drake and Sophie. And check out this chocolate chunk below! That’s not Lucy, it’s Lulu with her mama! Check out Lulu’s Instagram to see how I reacted when I met her!
Embrace The Crazy Dog Lady
It was so fun to be around other dog moms who get it! There was no judgement if you wanted to carry your pup in a Baby Bjorn, hold up a tennis ball to get the best shot or let an 80 pound pit bull sit on your lap. Everyone was equally dog crazy, and it was awesome! I think our party doubled in size when the regular bar customers saw what was happened back there. Everyone wanted to be part of the dog mom party!
Thanks to Our Partners
Thank you to My Ollie, Dig Dates, Natalie Siebers Photography and Rebel Dawg for making the even extra fun with your swag, treats and prizes!
And a big thank you to Best Friends Animal Society for bringing an adoptable dog to the party. The big grey pittie they brought was so gentle and sweet. To be able to handle a noisy, hot, crowded bar and tons of strangers is a big deal for any dog. I hope he finds a wonderful home! We did a toy and treat drive for Best Friends at the event. If you weren’t able to attend and would like to support them, you can send them items from their Amazon wish list that will go straight to the pets in need!
Me and Matilda had a blast, we met so many new people and dogs! I didn’t even realize there was such a cool dog-friendly bar in Manhattan. Thanks so much for inviting us!
I’m so happy you two had fun! I would love to go back to DBA some day, it was great!
