Michelle Stern of Pooch Parenting has built a niche business around helping families with new babies or small children who need dog training support. You know I love talking about niching down! Michelle shares her perspective on the value and importance of narrowing down what you offer to your audience.
There is such a thing as too much information and it’s impossible to be good at everything. I loved Michelle’s advice to focus on 1 thing that you’re really good at then have a team to who you can outsource work that you’re not confident in tackling yourself.
Michelle Stern is a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), dog behavior consultant, mom, and former classroom teacher. With over 16 years of teaching experience, Michelle loves both the human and canine members of dog families, which shows in her warm and supportive demeanor with clients. She specializes in working with families who are expecting babies and those who already have children and dogs.
Michelle created the Thriving Parents of Kids and Dogs monthly membership to help parents raise safe and happy kids (both 4 legged and 2 legged) together without fear, overwhelm and chaos! She also runs several online dog training courses, a thriving Facebook community and a new podcast.
