Podcast Episode 264: All About My Dog Lucy

In this episode I’m talking about the biggest inspiration for my pet business… my dogs! Someone on Instagram recently asked if I have an episode all about Lucy or Burt and I realized that I do not. But what a great idea! The dogs are the inspiration behind every blog post and my motivation to grow my business and thrive as a self-employed single woman. As they say, I work hard to give my dogs a better life.

There is so much I can say about Burt and Lucy so I’m splitting this up into two solo episodes. Today I’ll share everything there is to know about Lucy and in 2 weeks you’ll hear all about Burt. Although they look alike and every day someone asks if they’re siblings, my two dogs have very different life stories! I’m excited to share some stories with you and see if there’s anything you didn’t know about Burt and Lucy.

All About My Chocolate Lab Lucy

My Chocolate Labrador Lucy’s Life Story… so far!

Lucy is an 11- year old Chocolate Labrador. She loves working at Wear Wag Repeat because she gets to taste test everything I make. She gladly puts up with my unique dog photoshoot ideas because they always mean lots of treats and attention! Her favorite activity in the world is swimming and lucy tries to get completely drenched at least once a day year round. We go stand up paddleboarding together all summer.

Lucy’s favorite foods are bananas and yogurt, but really, she’s never met a food she didn’t like! In 2018, Lucy earned her Therapy Dogs International certification. In 2020 she earned an AKC Trick Dog Novice title and in 2023 she moved up to Trick Dog Intermediate and is on her way to Trick Dog Advanced.
