Switching To Stella and Chewy’s Raw Blend Kibble

Lucy takes food very seriously, but she’s far from a picky eater. If left to her own devices I think Lucy would be happy to live off of food that people drop at outdoor cafes. But as a dog mom, I know that she needs a high quality food packed with nutrients to keep her strong, active and healthy inside and out! That’s a tall order, but I found a brand that checks off everything on our list. That’s why we’re switching to Stella and Chewy’s Raw Blend Kibble.

I’ve been lucky enough to try out raw food before. But since I don’t eat a lot of meat myself, it felt weird to have a ton of raw stuff in my fridge. When I found out that Stella and Chewy’s created a raw blend kibble I thought it would be the perfect combination of nutrition and convenience. They package high-protein baked kibble with freeze-dried raw pieces together in the same bag.

Whenever we go to a dog friendly local restaurant like Federal Galley, Lucy is always looking for crumbs on the floor. So I figured I’d bring along her very own dinner when we met up with another local chocolate lab named Lucy earlier this week. That’s right… double chocolate chunks! Just look at these girls… they were more than happy to pose for pictures as long as they got to sample the goods! Since every bag of Raw Blend kibble contains big chunks of freeze dried raw meat, it’s easy to reach in and pick out a few to use as treats.

I have Lucy on the Red Meat recipe which features a protein-rich, grain-free baked kibble coated with Stella and Chewy’s irresistible freeze-dried raw with the addition of big chunks of freeze-dried meat mixed in. I kinda feel like it’s lucky charms for dogs, just with freeze dried meat instead of marshmallows! Doesn’t that sound delicious? Well, Lucy thinks it does!
