Plush Dog Toys for Tough Chewers and Snugglers

If you’re like me, then you have a toy bin full of dog toys in various states of destruction. We have hard chews that are a killer when I accidentally step on them in my bare feet! Then we have stuffed animals, some of whom are deflated and threadbare. Looking at this motley crew I wanted to upgrade the dog’s toys. But it’s a struggle to find plush dog toys for tough chewers and snugglers – I have one of each!

Plush Dog Toys for Tough Chewers and Snugglers

Luckily, I got turned on to HuggleHounds! They travel the world to bring the newest, freshest colors and fabrics to their designs. I’m excited to get the chance to try out the Rainbow Knotties with Burt and Lucy. Since they each have their own style of play I’m impressed by how these toys work for both dogs!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of HuggleHounds. The opinions and text are all my own. At Wear Wag Repeat I only write about products we truly love.

Toys for Tough Chewers like Burt

Burt is my tough chewer. When we adopted him, I discovered that some toys Lucy had for years were dismembered pretty quickly by his desire to chew and rip!

HuggleHounds invented a durable, double-layer Tuffut Technology® lining that can only be found in their toys. Every Tuffut Technology® lined toy has two hidden layers tested to withstand 100 pounds of tugging and pulling pressure! This 2-layer process gives extra protection for aggressive chewers! And it means your toys will last much longer than other stuffies.

But we know that no toy is 100% indestructible. With that in mind, HuggleHounds also places their seams and squeakers very strategically. I’ll admit, Burt did rip a leg off the pink elephant during our photoshoot for this post. But, it was really my fault for tugging with him! See above… oops!

When the leg came off I was happy to realize that the squeaker is tied up in the bottom of the foot so there wasn’t a risk of him swallowing that little piece. I tossed the leg, of course, but the rest of the three-legged elephant still has a lot of love left to give!

Toys for Snugglers like Lucy

Lucy has always been a toy snuggler and nuzzler. Her stuffies will usually last for years because she doesn’t like to chew and rip them apart. That usually means that I have different toys for Burt and Lucy. it’s hard to find something that’s soft yet tough. Except for these Knotties!

Lucy loves to rest her head on the soft, plush Knotties and occasionally roll on her back and give them some kisses!

Seeing how the dogs interact with these toys, it’s clear that HuggleHounds has a deep understanding of how dogs play. Their logo is a heart because they put their heart and soul into all their products!

Rainbow Toys that Fit My Style

I have pretty high standards for toys! Of course, they need to be fun for the dogs and safe to play with, but I also want them to look good in my home. There’s not a room in my house that doesn’t have dog toys in it. So if they can complement my style and the decor of my home it all looks a lot better!

I know not everyone has this much pink in their house, but for me, the Rainbow Knotties fit right in with my style! From the Rainbow Pink Elephant to the Blue Cheshire Cat to the ultimate color-warrior, the Rainbow Unicorn… this collection brings just the right splash of color to our lives.

These toys also pass the smell test! No matter how cute my house is, nothing ruins it like a super smelly toy! These Knotties can be machine washed over and over again.

Ready to Shop for HuggleHounds?

Head over to HuggleHounds website or their store locator to shop for Rainbow Knotties or any other designs in the Knotties collection. There’s a Birthday Elephant, Mascot Knotties and even special holiday toys like these for Halloween.

One more cool fact about HuggleHounds before I wrap up this post… I learned that they redesign their collections every year with new styles, colors and fabrics. Much like a fashion brand, they release new toys each season.

I better start collecting now!

  1. Dawn aka Maui’s mom

We love HuggleHound plush toys! My Newfie pup Maui is both a chewer and snuggler. We have several of these plushies and they are some of her favorites. She loves to rip apart some of her stuffed toys, and pull the stuffing and sqeakers out; as well as chew off tags, noses, eyes, ears, and basically any small, tag-like “appendage” or accessory.
These plush toys have remained intact for over a year now, with the exception of the horns and nose area of her cow, which she promptly eliminated. But, it’s held up fine since I did a little sewing repair work on it.
I’d recommend HuggleHound plush toys to anyone with a dog who likes stuffed toys. They’re worth every penny!
