I’ve had a gallery wall above the mantle in my home office for over a year, and as I find new little items I love adding to it. More is more when it comes to an eclectic mix like this! I’ve made some of the things (more on that later), some were gifts and others I just had to have! After this Winter I’ve been giving little updates to all the rooms in my house and one of the Spring refresh projects I did this week was updating my dog lover gallery wall with Minted. Check this amazing custom Photo Art Print I just got! It features my two favorite fur babies, which goes perfectly with the theme of the art on the wall.
Since the photos of the girls are smaller on this print, I wanted it to be at eye level which means my DIY Dog Art had to move up, up, up! I reconfigured a few things and thanks to Command Strips and a few little nails I got the whole project done in no time. Gallery walls can be intimidating, but I don’t worry to much about perfect spacing. Since all my items are different shapes and sizes I think it gives me a lot more flexibility. If you want to create a wall with perfectly spaced identical frames it would be a lot more tedious! But since I use mostly Command Strips and they can be removed so easily I just go for it and hang things! I can always move them later.
Ta-da! What do you think? I love the added height this new arrangement gives me. I’m also so happy with the frame I picked out from Minted. It’s the Champagne Silver Frame which is a warm silver that pairs perfectly with the mixed metals I already have. These Photo Art Prints would make fabulous Mother’s Day gifts, for your real mom or a dog mom who would appreciate the extra love! Minted is offering 15% off through April 25th with code SPRING16, and with Mother’s Day on May 8th there’s no time like the present.
Mantle books include #GirlBoss, The Night Circus, P.S. I Made This, Crazy Rich Asians and Study of Pose.
Beyonce plays an important role in all our lives, so why not include the Queen Bey on my gallery wall? Print from Etsy.

One of my favorite artists, Greg Stones. He has a serious of tiny zombies. This one is titled Penguin vs. Zombie.
This assemblage piece was a gift to me, it’s by local artist George Wazenegger.
That gold giraffe was a little DIY, too! I bought it in the dollar bin at Target (love that area!) and gave it a quick coat of gold spray paint. Oh, and in case you’re wondering what I’m wearing as I do home improvement projects (casual, you know), it’s a super cute dress I got at Roberta Weissburg Leathers last year, blazer from The Limited and white sneakers are Target brand Converse.

Thank you!
My niece is an animal lover and I wanted to design her wallas based on what she loves. I agree with you that designing the wall with perfectly identical frames would be tedious. Frames sound like a good idea, but I was hoping that I’ll be able to find a Giraffe wall plaque that I can hang on her wall.
