She got started in the pet photography business in 2017 when she wanted a studio photoshoot for her dog&#8217;s birthday. At the time, she couldn\u2019t find a photographer who offered those types of images for pets. Over the last 2 years, Angie has been able to grow this side hustle into her full time business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The name Elly May comes from a childhood nickname. Angie used to carry pes like a turtle, lizard or rabbit with her everywhere so she earned the nickname Elly May, inspired by the character from\u00a0 the TV show Beverly Hillbillies, who was known for loving all pets. By naming her business Elly May Moments, Angies wants to show her love for photographing all animals, not just dogs.
