After an amazingly inspiring trip to Alt Summit in Salt Lake City last week (more on that later), I’ve decided to dive in headfirst to the latest and greatest social media platforms like SnapChat and Periscope. One of the things I learned at the Summit is the importance of consistency, especially with Periscope. Just like tuning in to watch Oprah at 4pm every day (you know you did that, too!), online viewers will develop a routine of tuning in to your broadcast if it’s at the same time every day or week.
I did so much brainstorming with so many amazing women, so I can’t remember who I was talking to when we came up with this idea, but I’ve decided to do a Daily Dog Walk on Periscope! I generally walk the dogs every day around 4pm, sometimes around the block, other times we go for a hike, so this seemed like a good schedule to assign to my ‘scopes, too! Plus, I feel like I’m on during Oprah’s time slot which just has to be good luck!
Today will be my 4th day doing this series, and it’s already picking up great momentum. Yesterday a few viewers told me it was their second day tuning in and I’m getting a lot of comments and tons of hearts! It’s really exciting to be able to broadcast live to the entire world and I can’t wait to see where this goes.
So, if you want to say hi to Lola and Lucy every afternoon, follow me on Periscope @tmistick. See you at 4pm!
Love this idea! Will definitely be tuning in!! x
