When I first got really into the idea of writing about dogs and fashion, I noticed that there is one breed that shows up the most: Dalmatians! Black and white is always a good color combo in fashion, and I guess art directors, photographers and designers just can’t get enough of it. Style icons such as Naomi Campbell and Marc Jacobs are no strangers to posing with these chic dogs, but did you know that Dalmatians have been featured in fashion ads for decades? It’s funny to look at a bunch at once, because they are often paired with clothing that is black and white polka dots. Naturally!

You are right I have seen a lot of dalmatians in fashion photos! These are some cute shots and I really love how fun they are! I think I now need a dalmatian dog to go with my dalmatian print coat!

If you get a Dalmatian dog, you need to wear black and white clothes all the time! It’s obviously a rule. : )
