Do you ever wish you could show off your love of your dog more than you already do? I have bracelets and necklaces that remind me of Lucy, I have a shirt with her face on it, and my house is covered in dog art. But you know what I didn’t have? Custom dog mom shoes featuring me and Lucy! Until now! I’m obsessed with my new customizable dog mom shoes from Soulmates Collection. They are just too perfect for me!

Customizable Dog Mom Shoes from Soulmates Collection

Soulmates Collection was created by fellow dog mama Isa Zapata. You can hear more about her story on episode 22 of my podcast. Isa created this brand as a way to connect with what is really important: the people and pets that we love and cherish! The brand’s main focus is to “provide products that awaken feelings of love and gratitude in our clients, as well as, to support small businesses around the globe.”

Every one of the Soulmates Collection products are designed by Isa and made by artisans in Cali, Colombia and Miami. The last time I talked to Isa she was on her way to Colombia to visit her family that still lives there and check on her artisans. I know that every shoe she makes is crafted with love and care!

Soulmates Collection offers a few different ways to shop. You can browse the “off the rack” collection, choose from pre-designed dogs and people to get shoes that resemble you and your fur baby, or you can go totally custom like I did! I absolutely love how Isa captured me and Lucy in her artwork. All I did was send her links to some Instagram photos of us and she was able to illustrate us perfectly.

One of the things that stands out the most to me about Isa and Soulmates Collection is how colorful everything is. Isa lives in Miami and her artwork is so colorful and happy. I knew that I needed to photograph these shoes in the most colorful and happy place in Pittsburgh. So Lucy and I went to Randyland, which is basically a whole house art installation, inside and out! Every surface is covered in paint, found objects and joy. It’s impossible not to smile when you go there!

I wasn’t able to get a good shot of it, but the bottom of the shoes is imprinted with the saying “Love in Every Step.” Not only is that literally true as I walk around in shoes with me and Lucy printed on them, but it really ties in to everything I do with her. It’s a great message to keep in mind on every walk we go on and adventure we take – no matter what shoes I’m wearing!
